Do I need my own Yoco or PayGate account?
Yes, and that's the point. Card payments go straight from your customer to your own Yoco or PayGate account and settle into your bank. ForgeLab never holds your money. The same Yoco you use for your card machine works here, and so does a PayGate merchant account if that's what you have.
What does it really cost?
R299 a month, flat. No percentage of your sales and no card needed to start. The first 14 days are free, and you can cancel whenever you like. Yoco's or PayGate's own card fees still apply.
I already have a shop somewhere else.
If it's on Shopify, paste your shop's address on the import page and your products, photos, prices and brand come across. Your old theme, apps and order history stay behind, and you check the preview before anything is confirmed.
My customers buy on account.
Switch on selling on account, and checkout offers on account or EFT on invoice next to the card option. The order lands in your list either way, and you mark it paid once it settles.
What happens after the 14 free days?
Your shop keeps selling. Your dashboard shows a note that the first month is due, and nothing is charged automatically. Your shop never switches off by itself over a payment. If you'd rather not carry on, export your data from Settings and walk away owing nothing.
Can I leave?
Any time. Your orders, customers and products download as spreadsheets from Settings. Nothing about staying with ForgeLab depends on leaving being hard.
